Post #1:

"In the beginning:"

Welcome to my new blog! Dedicated to my amateur build of my 1967 Chevy II Nova Wagon (and other miscellaneous childish projects).

Back in 2010, I purchased this beautiful 1967 Chevy II Nova Wagon from a gentleman in Susanville, California for $600.  It had been his father's car.  His father purchased the wagon in October 1966 and he had fond memories of his father having taken him on numerous camping trips in the wagon.

I could tell he was sad to see her go and he said he was hesitant to sell her, but he could see the enthusiasm in me and knew I would give her a good home!

I know, I know....she's not a movie star.  But, she has potential!

The old had been parked behind a barn and sorta buried for some time, so getting her out and onto the UHaul trailer I rented took some doing. Thankfully I had my good friend Ralph with me.

Let me tell you about Ralph.  Ralph is a super kool, knowledgeable car aficionado who, in a heart beat, will drop what he's doing to help a friend.  At the time, Ralph called me to tell me he and his beautiful bride Kathy were headed to Stockman's (a super rad bar in Fair Oaks, CA) for a beer wanted to see if we were interested going with them.

As soon as I told Ralph I was headed to Susanville to pick up the 67 wagon, Ralph immediately said, "well then, you better come pick me up cause I'm coming with you."  He immediately changed his plans, cause he knew I would need some help.....and I did!

Okay....below is an earlier model Nova wagon (very purdy), but essentially, this is what I'm going after with my build (lowered and kool):
