Post #2:
Here's her tired little motor (192ci straight six):
And here's after I cleaned her up a little:
She looks purdy in Chevy orange!
I knew her floorboards were rusted, so I gutted the interior. Below is what the front floorboard looked like.
And here's what the rear seat floor looked like (a little holy).
Yes, I could have probably replaced the floor pans, but through the Interwebs I read more and more about hombres were putting old trucks onto S10 truck frames. So that made me think, maybe I could give my unibodied wagon a frame to customize the suspension....hmmm.
I had read on the Interwebs that 4-door S10 blazers have a 107 inch wheel base and because my wagon has 110 wheel base, I could possibly extend the blazer frame wheelbase 3 inches and have the 110 inches I needed, PLUS I would instantly have more modern suspension and braking if I retrofitted my wagon over an S10 blazer frame.
So, I found me a 1994 four-door S10 blazer on Craigslist. I bought it and drug it home/Sinned Speed Shop.
After some doing, here's the blazer torn down to the frame.
